The local-first, hardware-bound fortress for your digital identity.
Offline by default. Cryptographically verifiable. Bound to your device, not the cloud.
Alethium Vault is a professional-grade password manager built for people who do not trust cloud-first security models. Your credentials are stored locally, encrypted using AES-256-GCM, and cryptographically bound to your device’s physical hardware using TPM-backed key protection.
Even if your vault file is copied or stolen, it cannot be decrypted on another machine. Alethium Vault includes Foundry, a high-entropy password generator, and a built-in offline Knowledge Base for storing security protocols and operational notes.
Free to try during early access, and designed for complete data sovereignty.
No cloud sync, your data stays with you.
Secure vault creation and loading.
Full CRUD support for your secrets.
Instant access across all entries.
Offline "Protocols" for security notes.
Windows support (Linux coming soon).
Security is not a feature. It is the foundation.
Alethium Vault uses Scrypt for key derivation with high-cost parameters and AES-256-GCM for authenticated encryption. To go further, the vault’s master secret is wrapped using TPM-backed RSA-OAEP-SHA256, binding the vault cryptographically to the physical device it was created on.
The cryptographic design prioritizes transparency, mathematical soundness, and long-term compatibility.
Foundry is Alethium Vault’s built-in high-entropy password generator.
Balanced, widely compatible.
Maximum entropy, no filtering, no compromises.
Built with Electron and a native Node.js security binding for hardware-level protection.
Alethium Vault is intentionally local, explicit, and controlled by the user.
Alethium Vault is currently available as a free-to-try desktop application during its early access phase.
This release is intended for evaluation, testing, and real-world use. Core functionality is fully available, but licensing terms may evolve as the product matures.
Alethium Vault is not open source.
While the application is free to try today, Alethium Vault will transition to a paid product at version 1.0. Pricing and licensing details will be communicated clearly ahead of that release.
There is no telemetry, no cloud sync, and no background data transmission.
Alethium Vault is under active development. The current release is free to try. A paid license will be introduced at v1.0 to support long-term development and security research.
